Lower Radiator Hose

Post by boomboom »

I am putting a 74 engine with an internal thermostat in my 75 spider that has a larger radiator, so now the 74 lower radiator hose is not long enough. Has anyone found a hose or solution that will reach from the water pump to the lower end of the radiator?

Thanks.

Gates number 21897. You will have to cut the hose near the label end, that's the part you don't use. The remaining hose is almost identical to the standard Fiat lower hose for the 1592 only a bit longer. There is enough curve in this hose to go around the alternator if mounted on the right side or an ac unit. The hose should curve out away from the water pump when fitted properly

I used this hose and it worked great. I took a spring out of an old flex hose and put it in this hose to make it a little stiffer.

Thanks.
