I can help with the images:rodo wrote:[Trying to post images is going to kill me. Just click on the wretched links.]
The gear is a winner. Duplicates the original perfectly and fits perfectly. I'm kind of amazed. $10 on ebay plus $15 shipping (from Egypt) and it was here DHL in three/four days. Right, so if the images are posting I'll walk you through it. First fun was removing the wee retaining ring.
I'd read about it here. Pain. Magnifying glass pain. But before you remove the arm at the end of the shaft, note its location (I used a sharpie). The issue is getting one's wipers to stop at the correct stopping point, so it matters. Then you have the bits and bobs:
Dust cover, then three washers...or four. The catch for me is that I got distracted and the next thing I know I seem to have a fourth washer. Uh...started off thinking there were two under the dust cover, one flat, one wavy. Another was stuck up with nasty old grease. This fourth one seems different, different material, maybe plastic. Now I'm thinking it may actually go on the inside:
Anyone know?
Will report again once I get it buttoned up and, I hope, running.
You need the image location including the name of the image plus each image must be linked individually. Your links do not include the image names nor are they bracketed correctly.
