The gear is a winner. Duplicates the original perfectly and fits perfectly. I'm kind of amazed. $10 on ebay plus $15 shipping (from Egypt) and it was here DHL in three/four days. Right, so if the images are posting I'll walk you through it. First fun was removing the wee retaining ring.

I'd read about it here. Pain. Magnifying glass pain. But before you remove the arm at the end of the shaft, note its location (I used a sharpie). The issue is getting one's wipers to stop at the correct stopping point, so it matters. Then you have the bits and bobs:

Dust cover, then three washers...or four. The catch for me is that I got distracted and the next thing I know I seem to have a fourth washer. Uh...started off thinking there were two under the dust cover, one flat, one wavy. Another was stuck up with nasty old grease. This fourth one seems different, different material, maybe plastic. Now I'm thinking it may actually go on the inside:

Anyone know?

Will report again once I get it buttoned up and, I hope, running.

I can help with the images:

You need the image location including the name of the image plus each image must be linked individually. Your links do not include the image names nor are they bracketed correctly.

Click on the quote button so you can see how easy it is to do.

I appreciate the help, DieselSpider. I get the individual part, easy. But 1) how do I bracket correctly and 2)where do the names go?

It will become perfectly clear if you use the "Reply with quote" button since that will reveal all those details. When viewing my prior post click on the box to the top right with the double quotes symbol and study each line starting with img in square braces and ending in /img in square braces.

For example you used https://image.ibb.co/kvpeE9 for the gear image without including the name of the Gear.jpg image while it should have been https://image.ibb.co/kvpeE9/Gear.jpg.

Right, the "Reply with quote" button. I didn't have a clue. Thanks, that cleared it all up. Now I got it! Hm, well, I got the photos part, now I just need to sort out where which washers go with the motor.

Done and done. Buttoned it up, got my tester, and the thing runs. Sure seems loud, however, but since I've never heard a FIAT wiper motor go, I've nothing to compare it to. So, the gear is a winner and the job is not tough. Ended up deciding that the fourth washer goes inside on the shaft (b/c there was no grease on that part of the original gear). It works, so good enough. I highly recommend this easy, if tedious, job.
