Front end dips after a rebuilt

Post by gchocevar »

Hi,

After a complete rebuild of the front end of my 79 Spider(standard bushings, new A-arms, KYB shocks) it handles great on turns now. I actually ordered KONI's but one of them had a problem and were returned for the KYB's. However, I still get a dip in the front end when going over modest bumps at 30 to 50 MPH. The only thing not replaced were the springs. I don't want to lower the front end with performance springs. Do springs wear out? Any suggestions please?

Thanks,
Greg

shocks only dampen the springs

Thanks for the reply,

When I rebuilt the front end I measured the height of the springs against the factory manual. There was maybe 01.inch less height. Can springs loose there spring constant over time?
