I was just looking for parts for another project and ame across a 12v 4' marine inline blower ( $30) that outputs 250 cfm. Anyone thought of or worked out something like this as a intake air boost. I read on a review that one person used this on their chevy truck and increased performance and mpg.
Did the calculations 2 lites=.o6 cubic feet x 5000 rpm = 300cfm (pretty close)
Speed control of fan would have to be work out but I don't think that would be that difficult.

4' diameter should read 4" but I like the leaf blower idea, on my way to home depot.

Re: Poor man's supercharger?
There's a difference between flow and pressure. An airblower that moves 250cfm unloaded would choke and burn out if you tried getting 7psi out of it.
