Anyway, after refurbishing the ignition system, the carb was the only thing left. I ordered a Weber 32/36 DFEV because It's just about the same thing I use on my Mazda trucks. after pulling the stock carb off,

I cleaned the manifold and replaced some really crappy vacuum plugs from the PO. Then ground the back off the 'knob' for the throttle link and mounted the knob to the new carb with the help of a washer and steel epoxy putty.

Ugly, but it works! I need to thread the rod down a bit more to get all the adjustment I can.
Then realized I had forgotten to order a spacer. Really don't want to miss my last weekend of driving weather, so I rednecked a solution.
