carb .intake swap
Re: carb .intake swap
I used a piece of 3/8'' aluminum and the original bolt from the manifold to plug it there, just left the exhaust side as it was. Sometimes that tube on the exhaust side is frozen in there, but if you get it out I think you can plug it with a M22x1.50 on the exhaust manifold itself.

Another option is to cut and pinch the EGR tube on the exhaust side.

If you pinch the pipe, then you don't need to plug anything, just leave the holes in the head open. Up to you, of course. I plugged mine for a cleaner look.

Re: carb .intake swap
one hose to a ported vacuum source, the other hose to the egr valve. I doubt you will be using an egr system with your new setup. It would require installing a complete egr system from a 77-78 engine

Re: carb .intake swap
Yeah, the only vacuum line needed will be for your advance. As far as the picture goes, hard to say, but it looks like possibly an old fuel return line. What side of the car is it on, drivers or passenger?

Re: carb .intake swap
Leave it as is. It opens the two ends to each other once a certain temp is reached, so it won't hurt anything to just leave it there. It threads into the coolant passage inside the manifold.fiat218 wrote:so do what with it ? block it off? remove it? leave it as is ?
