Where is the Thermo Time Switch Located
I've looked in both my manuals and cannot find where the Thermo Time Switch is on my 91 Spider. Can anyone help me located it?
Long story short. Ordered the wrong part by mistake, generally my car is running OK. Starts a little hard when cold but nothing terrible. I think the car is running rich (noting a black sooty mark at the output of the tail pipe). So I'm changing all the inexpensive (relatively) parts that might affect the fuel injection performance. I agree not very scientific.
One sensor that I thought might be acting up early on in my investigation of my light problem was the temp sensor on the Fuel Injection. I had a (BAD) theory that perhaps the engine was overheating or the sensor was indicating overheat. I thought the ECU may have a mode that would shutdown the car if it detected a serious overheat. (Again I believe this was all fool hearty, too much engineering analysis not enough simple common sense!) I ordered the temp sensor on-line, but in a hurry clicked the wrong part. So I've got the darn thing might as well swap it. Like chicken soup it can't hurt.
Fortunately I don't think that I've changed too many completely functional items. I've found things in my investigation that have been disconnected, putting in the new sensor or part has improved performance...
