I just received a new expansion tank from Vics. With the exception of the nipple being about 3 sizes bigger than the old original, it fits fine. One thing I noticed is that the original has a small pipe in the tank that is about as high as the minimum level mark. The new tank does not have this tube.
Should the tank have the extension tube inside? Or should it just be open? Discussion?
