Pinion Oil seal

Is it possible to replace the oil seal to the pinion without have to chaince the collapsible spacer with all the adjustments.
I think maby just remove the pinion flange, replace the seal and reassamble again. Could that be done? :roll: :?:

how will you keep the pinion nut tight without replacing the crush sleeve?

I guess thats what i am asking fore. If crush sleeve means the same as my Haynes book calls "collapsible spacer" :?: :?:
