Anyone Collect Licence Plates?

Does anyone here collect and trade license plates? I collected on an off for some time and I am still missing several states. I was wondering if anyone collects and would be interested in selling or trading for what they need. Also if you have an interesting plate you like post a pic.

I still have my old USA plates when I was stationed in Germany back in the 80's. I will take a pic and post it.

I don't collect plates, but I do frequent antique shops and sales and have been known to discover things in barns (with owner permission of course). i find old plates all the time, but it's not what i'm after so I leave 'em be. If you have something specific you want me to keep a look out for, just let me know.

I seem to have misplaced my inventory sheet so I can't tell you what I am missing at this time. I know most of my missing plates are east coast states but I'll take any plate you may have. I prefer the old single color style, they seem to have more character it though they are plain.

Warbird. I actually have a plate that I was told was also used by the military in Germany. It is mostly black with white and it just has USA along with the numbers on it.

I have been collecting the 50 states and the nations capitol for around 40 years or more and I am down to 4 plates to go.
I have 6 plates comming from back east as I write this and then for sure I will only need 4 plates to finish my quest. I never have bought any until just this year as I doubted I could find some of the ones I needed so I went internet shopping ..

I didn't want to buy off ebay because to me there is no feeling behind them like when you email some one off Craigs List and get some history of how they got the ones you ask for that they have .. I ask on here some time ago and didn't get any bites ,,glad you brought it up..

I am not peticular about the year as long as they are not older than the 60ies ..

Nebraska ,,so if you have any of them ,,,I could trade you Oregon Washington Idaho, and Colorado as them I have duplicates of .. Put your list up and I will take a look see what I do have I can trade that you need .. LD

I have the plates you need but unfortunately I only have one of each so I am not able to part with them at this time. I also have all the plates you offered so I really dont need them but I am still interested in them if they are the older two color style. If you have any plates that are the early style I would be willing to trade you the new style equivilant state.

I am still trying to locate my inventory sheet. Most of my plates are hanging on the wall in no particular order so it is difficult to determine what I am missing.

Just found some plates in one of our barns. they are Illinois 1976 Bicentennial plates. I have the set.

No response needed. I'll post random plates as I find them if anything strikes you as interesting just let me know. I'm gonna guess that I'll never find anything YOU need, but whatever, I'd hate to have something sitting in a box not doing anyone any good if it could be given a home!

i guess , i kinda collect plates. have a bunch hanging in the garage. will post a pic soon. i grab what ever i happen to come across.
