Atlantas Italian Car Day was held this past weekend, and a good time was had by all! The Fiat contingent was strong, outnumbering all other marques! Good job! I counted 10 Spiders,6 X19's,and a 1500 conv. The lovely Denise B. towed(the older cars wont make a 300 mile trip? ) her beautiful 72 all the way from Winston-Salem. Took home 3rd place...should have been 1st! Also Kevin M. and his son Trevor made it with his 74 ,which is a work in progress and is going to be a great car. Robert B. also stopped in with his lovely wife and kids,to say hello.Lots of fantastic Italian iron..like a Ferrari 430 Scuderia and a to die for triple black Lambo Diablo. The new Fiat 500 was driven in by Jim and Brett M.,and was a huge hit with everyone. Sal Sansone brought his 82 which he bought new and now has 17000 miles on!
The Sunday drive was lightly attended ,but was a terrific group and we all had a really good time.As it broke up ,Brett and Jim were taking the new 500 over 'tail of the dragon' before turning the keys over to Lane Motor Museum on Mon Hey ,might as well get your moneys worth out of it.Elial,John Montgomery and myself opted for a match race over Blood Mountain! YEEEEHAWWWW.We were hoping Denise would stay over for Sun. activities ,but she opted for heading home to the family. We missed you!All in all a really fun event with great weather. We should get together more than once a year!!Here are a few pics

Wow!! That looks and sounds fantastic Craig. Only one question though. How come that great looking car of yours didn't make it into the final cut?
Thanks for the pictures buddy.

It was nice to meet Craig and some of the other guys. I never got a chance to introduce myself to Denise but I did take a few pics of her car. I hope mine looks good enough one day to hold it's head up in that company! Here are a few more pics.

That is truly awesome! Good to see the new Fiat 500 there also.
BTW - I wasn't aware that Fiat had made a comeback in the US yet? Do you have the Punto, Bravo as well?
We have the Fiat Punto here in Oz, (Fiat made a comeback to Australia in 2005) but the 'Bravo' was re-named 'Ritmo' (apparantly Mazda kicked up a stink, they've got some old pick-up truck named 'Bravo') and the new 500 is quite popular. They (importers) could have sold more if they wanted to, but the Fiat brand is not advertised very well in Australia.
Nice

Re: pictures from Italian Car Day
That is the one and only new 500 to grace the shores of the USA. Jim Mcgill bought the car in Ireland and had it shipped here for Fiat FreakOut.He did this to support a charity 'Northern Ireland Childrens Hospice'.The car made a cross country U.S. tour ,before making its last stop here,in Blairsville,Ga.It was then driven to its new home in Nashville,Tn. at the Lane Motor Museum. There is a lot of conjecture that the new 500,and other models will be sold here.Maybe re-badged as Chryslers(no!!).There have been no current Fiats sold in the U.S.,under the Fiat banner, since the 80's.

Man I wish I lived close. That looked like a fun time. Great pic's! I can't wait for the day I can take my car to a function. Who knows when that will be. I need to get some asphalt done so I can pull the car out of the garage to sand blast it.
