In preparation for an attempt to replace the clutch pedal I am getting some things out of the way. One of those things is this small box that is to the right of the steering column and a few inches above the gas pedal. It has 5 electrical wires going into it (colored: red/yellow, orange/white, pink/black, purple/black, gray/black) and some type of adjustment screw (??). It appears to be attached to a bracket with one small bolt/nut. I don't see that combination of wires on my wiring diagram (for '81, note the car did have AC at one time). What is this thing? Thanks.
What is this box?

Re: What is this box?
I believe its called the: Lambda sensor switch unit
I feel the best wire diagrams and circuit descriptions are found in Fiat publication: Spider 2000 Electrical Diagnostic Manual 1980-1981 This sensor is shown on page 21 with other fuel injection wiring.
I think it lights the oxy sensor warning light in the center dash every 30,000 miles or something like that. The unit can be reset by removing the safety wired plug and pushing in the reset switch with a pencil or pen type device.

Thanks for the info. That will be handy if/when the light comes on.
