4-thumb day

Post by baltobernie »

Maybe its because of a beautiful Friday, but Gina got four "thumbs-up" today, including two "I used to have one of those". One Civic hybrid, one 308, one motorcycle and one 2 x 20' semi! :P

ps Ignored by the lone MGB I passed. Eat your heart out, Nigel.

The wife and I dropped into the local village bar last night. The owners wife came over and asked if I could take their son Mario for a drive as he's crazy about the spider. How could I refuse?
As we got back, half the village seemed to be there to greet us with camaras at the ready. Mario was grinning from ear to ear and was obviously enjoying his new found celebrity status. It's amazing how a 5 year old can distinguish between everyday cars and something special! 8)
And for Chris and I, the drinks were on the house. :D

Salud!

Maybe his parents will allow him to help you change motor oil, etc. Can't start too soon.

I drove my 71 Spider to the local ACDelco parts supply yesterday to get everything I needed for my 150k mile service on my Grand Prix. When I walked in the door, the guys called me Tony. Some things never change.

So far, my car has convinced 2 fo my nephews to get their drivers licences as soon as possible. (I shudder to think the cost of their insurance!)

I get the ocasional thumbs up, and a few "I useto" or "my buddy had one of those"... one Sunday morning while curising on the highway, I had boobies flashed at me from the back seat of a passing car! Amazingly this sort of thing never happens when I drive my Geo Tracker!?

That's a great story! Free drinks are always a bonus! What a great night!! I get almost as much attention from my lil Spyder as I did from my 70 El Camino I had to give up a while back  . It sure makes you feel good!
