It seems that several years ago someone posted a good fix for old worn corroded light bulb fixtures in 124 Spider tail light units.
And it seems they used replacement sockets purchased at Walmart and offered pictures and part numbers.
Anybody recall or know which sockets were used? I can't find any reference in my searches. Thanks

There is a post in mirafiori.com library on repairing the early light sockets by disassembling and cleaning the contacts. The library is available for members only. Once a member open the site, select forums, select library, select electrical, select 124 sport spider tail light repair
Hope this is some help

Wavey, I think the post you are referring to was "Rear bulb Socket replacement?" posted on Feb. 8, 2015 by xjware. If I knew how to post a direct link to this thread, I would, but perhaps you can find it by searching the forum using this info.
For unknown reasons, I also can't post a working link for Walmart, but the product referenced is:
JT&T Products Universal Double Contact Light Socket with Spring Clip Mount
Walmart # 552032679
I've always been able to clean up the sockets on my cars, so I can't say personally how well this works.

Do you have the old style or new style taillights?

Just look at your local auto parts stores, Walmart, etc for these and they'll get the job done for about $4 each although not identical to the original:
