Hi
I have another question this time about how the O2 sensor connects thru to the ECU
I installed a new O2 sensor amd when i removed the old sensor I damaged the old bakealite connector.
When i went to repair that connector i noticed the wiring which runs back to the ecu has 2 layers of wiring. So you have a exterior layer of insulation, a layer of wiring, another layer of insulation followed by a core of wiring.
My questions are
1. What is this called?
2. Do i need a special connector, if yes... what is the connector called and where can i get one?
If no... how do i install a new connector? Can injust use a spade connector?

I think what you are explaining is called a shielded wire. Today many shielded wires outer wire is braided however years ago it was simply wrapped flat between the insulations.1. What is this called?

Only the center conductor is connected so you do not need a special connector. The outer conductor is cut about 1/4 inch from you new connector. Usually a shrink sleeve is placed over the outer conductor so it does not fray and it is not exposed to the elements.
Yes just use a standard spade connector. make sure the outer conductor does/can not come in contact with the inner conductor.
Shielded wires often have the shield terminated at one end only. The coil wire to the ECU is a shielded wire also and its shield is terminated in the ECU. I expect the O2 sensor is probably handled the same way.

spider2081 -- you are correct.
The shield for the O2 sensor is terminated at pin 23 of the ECU.
The internal conductor wire of the O2 sensor is terminated at pin 24 of the ECU.
The shield is used on this wire because of the very low level voltages that are present at the output of the O2 sensor and the potential for those very small voltages to be interfered with if there was no shielding in place.
