I'm making slow, painful progress on bringing the '71 Fiat back to life. I'm learning that Audis are not the most difficult designs afterall.
After pulling the calipers, I moved on to the brake booster. The bolts and pedal pin came out easily, but I cannot determine how to remove the brake booster past the cable (speedometer cable?). The cable is very rigid and sneaking it past does not appear to be an option. The DIY online do not show a stiff cable blocking the booster. Was this specific to early Fiat Spiders?
Any advice?
Apparently I am not the only person to shear off a stud from the inner control arm bushing support either... I didnt want to use heat on the stud so close to the engine (or rubber bushing) and regretting it now.
