Rear Seat Belts . .

Post by crafty »

I am wanting to install rear lap seatbelts in my 81 CS0 to lug aroung my two little boys. (Will obviously install harnesses for them). Does anyone know the best place to mount the anchor points and which belts I should be purchasing. Rather than doing it myself, I will find an installer to put them in as the insurance company needs the paperwork from a registered company. I am guessing that the installer would probably of never installed belts into this type of car so any advice I can give them would be welcome.

Cheers,

Glenn.

I purchased replacement front and new rear belts from SeatBeltPros.com and if you go under your car you will see two nut plates just above your rear end where the drive shaft enters. If you pull your rear seat out and go under and poke a Phillips screwdriver threw the nut plate you will displace the insulation under the rear seat and be able to thread the bold purchased from the mounting kit you can purchase separately. Good luck.
