Pinnin Hardtop window seals

Hi All,

I have searched and read and could not find an answer.

Has anyone found a reasonable alternative to the factory Pinninfarina side window seals?

The reproductions are about $300 (for side window only) which is beyond my current budget. The original rubber is a very complex extrusion. My impression is the complex shape allows for mechanical fasteners to pass through the thin steel plate and fix the weather stripping to the body.

With modern adhesives we should be able to get away with a simpler profile?

Any thoughts from the brain trust?

I am looking at a couple of simple "D" shaped rubber extrusion that I may try.
