I don't think my Spider wanted to go to the doctor today. I was taking her to be inspected today and after going about two blocks from my house she just shut down. I have only had her running for a week. When I had a problem starting a little priming would do the trick and she would run fine and start at least for a day or two. I think the problem may have started when I was trying to fix a squeak on the drivers side front shock mount. It is really a tight space to work in there and I may have knocked something loose. The only thing I can find is a small tube that comes from the bottom of the air cleaner and appears to go somewhere around the carb but I can't figure out were it goes. Everything else seems ok. I've checked and cleaned the idle solenoid, cleaned the fuel filters. I'm not sure what to check next. I just need to get her running long enough to get her to my mechanic about 5 miles away. Thanks for any advice.

Re: 79 Spider won't start.
you need fuel and spark at the right time for the engine to run. Start with the basics; check for spark, check for fuel.
