I just replaced both my rear calipers and e-brake cable. I had a problem with the rears locking up last week and the rear calipers had never been done so... might as well. The install went well. Good looking units from PartsGeek.com. The compensator had previously been replaced. I re-used the exsiting pads, made sure the slot was lined up, bled the lines (with the axel supported - all good.. the brakes just don't grab right. Takes one extra pump then I've got good pressure (like before the swap). Is there something that's done to pre-adjust the brakes? does it just take time?
On Fords and Chevys etc I know the brakes are generally self adjusting - but you can help them along with the little star adjuster thing to take up some of the initial slack... I think on Fords it used to be you could auto-adjust by braking in reverse...
Thanks
