I have just replaced the vacume advance for the distributor for the 3rd time in the last 18 months. The last one lasted about 2 weeks. They fail by having a small tear in the diagrahm. (I took them apart to see where they failed)
Is anyone having this type of issue? Looking for ideas or a different version. Current one is "original" Marinela (sp)

Yep, I have the original heat shield in place. I did remove the piped outlet for the hot air to the air cleaner, ut welded a cover over the hole.
