Poly Bushings, are they noisy?

Post by michaelj »

Hi guys, I put these on an old 69 mustang back 30 years ago and they seemed to always squeak. Are they any different today?? ANd has anyone noticed a big difference in handling? I have a 1976 1800 spider and its a street driver. Rebuilding engine now and with the engine on the stand, well, you know how it is. Now im looking into the rest of the car! ITs a disease! LOL. Thanks much, Mike

Poly bushings needed to be well greased with heavy silicon grease. The down side is that the grease will dry up over time... requiring them to need to be greased again. I think of they had a zirc for greasing it would be an improvement..
