I found out today that I'm not as young as I used to be. Spent most of the day working on taking the tranny out, and still didn't get it finished. Course I had to stop pretty often to clean the parts as they came off. Not that I needed the breaks, but the parts really, really needed cleaning. Really.
Should have taken Jon Logan up on his tongue in cheek offer to come out and help me if I paid airfair.
I'm down to the last three hardest to get to bolts (one on the starter, and two on top of the tranny).
Mike B.: Lest you think no one heeds your warnings, I not only disconnected the battery, it is sitting six feet away from the car. Can't be too safe, eh?
