DRIVER SEAT BACK
Just wondering if the passenger seat back is the same as the drivers? The frame work anyways, My drivers side is broken and this seams to be a regular problem. Looking for any help before i strip and fab up a new back!

the seats are mirror images. the adjustment and release are on the wrong side. outside of that, they are the same. BTW if you have new enough car that has a shoulder belt, that is on the wrong side as well.

I wonder if the foam and seat cover would fit over an early seat frame. They didn't have the problems the later ones had.

My 79 seat backs were bent and PO had made such a mess of fixes that there was no way to repair. Purchased older seat back frames. 79 foam worked well as did vinyl seat material. No problem and sturdy as ever.
