Contact cement

I am looking for a good contact cement to do some vinyl work on the car.
I know that thought is painful for some but I am going to lose the wood in the car and will have a black vinyl dash.
Over the year we have big temperature differences here in Minnesota so I need to make sure that the vinyl does not shrink on the dash.
Any ideas on what to use and where to get it?

Weldwood by DAP is pretty good stuff and available almost anywhere.

been my experience that the glue has nothing to do with the vinyl shrinking. was does matter is how much you stretch the vinyl getting it to lay down right. less stretch, less shrink.

And the evenness and completeness of the spread of the cement, to hold the material at all points.

The Weldwood is great stuff, I use it all the time for my veneer work - but don't bother with the water-based formula for this application, stick with the petro-based one. Another great one for this app. is 3M's formula 77 - comes in a spray can and if you follow the directions, it will work well!
