Lack of fuel??

So I have my '71 running great, however when Im driving there is a distinct lack of power. When I put the pedal to the floor, not much happens, very slow acceleration. I adjusting the timing to 10 deg BTDC (1400 engine) and it seems to have helped a little. Could I need to adjust my mixture richer??

the mixture screw is merely for idle and won't affect power
