Tune up specs

Choke is working fine. Idle is same at any temp as far as I can tell.

What or where is the idle valve? Is that one of the carb adjustments? How did you fix the problem with the valve?

My technician friend will be coming over this weekend, and hopefully we can get things straight. We will start by checking the two vacuum connections, but they seem to be good connections.

I going to start a new post called "Fast Idle - erratic tachometer" that starts where this left off.

Update: erratic tach was due to a wire (pickup wire) inside the distributor cap housing which had worn bare and was shorting or something. I taped it up and all is fine with tach.

Fast idle issue was the control module (which was new). After many hours of testing everything under the sun it was a $10 part.
