Took a Trip Down Memory Lane
Went through some old albums today and came across this picture. These are my 4 girls in 1978. My daughter was just 2 and she loved our dog Foxy Lady. My wife was in the cabin fixing lunch and the 72 Sport Coupe was parked outside. I couldn't resist taking this picture. You can see a larger version on the picture page of my website http://cruzin.us

Great image.
Kids, dog, car and house, the perfect ingredients for a family memory. Very nice cabin, do you still have it? Having both the cabin and the Sport Coupe (still) would be a fine family legacy.

Re: Took a Trip Down Memory Lane
The cabin belonged to a friend and he sold it awhile ago. The coupe was hit by 2 cars during a freak snow storm back in 1980 and the insurance company totaled it. If the first car hadn't hit me the other one would have missed me.

Thanks for sharing Zippy,
Isn't it great what a picture can do to bring back those memories.

Yes it is. I am trying to find pictures of my first Fiat but they must be buried away in the oldest albums. Still trying to locate them. They are probably in black and white since I was studing photography in college at the time.azygoustoyou wrote:Thanks for sharing Zippy,

Here is a pic of Carol and our coupe, taken in Spain, in 1972. While the coupe and I have undergone major transformations over the years, Carol has remained remarkably unchanged!

No. It was white from the factory. Just an old photo and shadows on the car make it appear mint green.

Re: Took a Trip Down Memory Lane
Here's one with Maureen, and with the 3 kids in the back seat (yes, seat belts), in 1988 about a year after we got the spider:
And here's 18 years later, inside the same spider, the day that our older daughter married. Sorry, the photo doesn't show much of the spider in either photo:
And, a B&W photo from 1990 with my carpool buddies! I still can't believe that I let 4 adults sit on the folded top, and the 2 in the middle had spiked heels!

Great shots, ACE! Looks like in our cases the cars look a helluva lot better today than we do!
Re: Took a Trip Down Memory Lane
Hmmmm. . . . I think that was a compliment. Thanks Jeff!

Here's my wife, in my first Fiat (1972) waiting in a ferry line up in Nanaimo BC circa 1973.
