Hi Everyone,

Since I've just joined, thought I'd drop a quick note to introduce myself and my car. I'am Kaz and have just bought my first Fiat - a 1973 Spider (once I work out how to upload a pic, I will).

The car was imported into Australia from the US in 1989 and converted to RHD straight away. Since I tranferred the registration to my home State of South Australia, I had to have a roadworthy inspection which lead to some major oil leaks being fixed. Now, it only leaks a little bit.

My previous car was Italian designed and German built - the best of both worlds (a VW type 3 Ghia). Now I face a steep learning curve to get to know my new baby, inside and out. The road will be long and winding, but I am sure it will be much fun along the way.

thanks for the welcome mbouse and perthling. I read in the FAQ that i need to put pics on a public site. am trying to do this through Yahoo! soon.

Perthling, do you know anyone in Oz that makes RHD glove boxes? mine seems to be cobbled together from plywood and i may replace it if convenient.

My conversion was done by Graeme Wellington in Australind who used to run a business called Spider World. He may well have a mould for the RHD glove boxes. PM me for his contact details.
