I have just installed a pair of solex 40 PII-6 carburetors and am looking to see if anybody would have a starting point for jetting.
These carbs are on a stock 1800 spider, and have been completly rebuilt and balanced but were set up for a 2000 cc.
I have started the engine and it idles and revs well when in nutral. I took it out for a ride but it sputters and misses when trying to excelerate. I looked at the plugs they were very black so I believe it is to rich.
Does anyone know where I can get info for these carbs, I have found lots for the PII-4 but nothing for the PII-6.
Any help would be appreciated.
