Re: Lsd
How do you feel about destroying a 30 year old classic car for an hour's worth of fun? These cars are cruisers, not high performance sports cars. Find an old "ricer" to drift, it will be 10X cheaper to turn it into a drifter, and 20x safer.
Or just put bald tires on and drive in the rain, you will drift plenty.

I would get a Ford 9" rear end and make it the right width for your Fiat. You can drill the rear hubs for whatever hole center you want to be able to get any rim you want.
Don't bother with the Fiat rear end, its not that strong and if you are serious about el drifto, you need a better rear end. Do the job right.

Drift guy, Pop on over to turbo124.com and check out the guys down under, they have be doing this for some time. The cheap method is to just weld up the diff, thats what most of us racer do.

Hi,
you still can get LSD for the Spider from Colotti - see: http://www.colotti.com/Engl/fiatE.htm - I don't know $$$s though and expect the price tag being steep.
ciao,
Stefan

Re: Lsd
Not to sure if there is a lsd for a volvo 160 ,you can check with IPD in portland, but the rear end out of one of those is only 3/4 of an inch wider than the stock spider and you can drill the hubs to run the 4x98 or run the 5x108 that is there already. Seen this done on a 131 at the xxx show last month. Look edvery nice and the guy says he hasn't had a blown diff since doing the install.

Re: Lsd
would this prevent me from 'lighting em up' at the stop sign? That would be an aweful shame.
