anyone ever use a refurbish service or have a speedometer reworked?
i'd like to have a speedo looked at and rebuilt. set the odometer for a specific mileage and slap it in my dash.

i guess i should rephrase my question to include...
if you have had pleasant experiences doing this... what vendor or service did you use, and would you use them again?

Re: refurbish gauges?
Mike,
Give Palo Alto Speedometer a try. They have repaired/calibrated two Veglia speedometers for me. One would only register speed occasionally, the second one had a needle that wandered up and down the scale at anything over 20mph. I am completely happy with their work.

I have a local guy called Pomona Valley Customs that repairs/rebuilds gauges for me. If you're interested in shipping gauges out to Calif I'll post his contact info
Re: refurbish gauges?
i am interested in a quality job.
i have a 140 mph speedo that i have been using for about 5 years, it has a clip on cable attachment, but is a deep faced speedo. the deep face does not match my shallow face tachometer. it's accuracy has always been questionable in my mind...especially compared to my GPS. it is an OEM speedo installed by me from the original packaging container. had less than 5 test miles on the odo when i installed it.
i recently acquired a shallow face, clip on, 140 mph speedo meter... i don't know if it works. i want someone to go through it with an eye for detail, someone that knows what they are doing... refurbish/repair/restore the meter to perfection AND set the odometer to my specifications.
cost is not my first priority. quality is. Timing is not super high on my list, quality is.
California? sure, why not. better, same or worse than Kevin's suggestion?
