I've done a search on "Seats" but I can't quite come up with the answer I'm looking for (maybe it does not exist or is not what I want to hear). Anyway, what aftermarket application has anyone had sucess with concerning seat replacement? Was it difficult or could a hack like myself handle it? I was thinking of doing something like this.
Any thoughts?

Re: Seats
I can tell you that it has been done, but imho, those seats would look out of place in these cars. They really stand out and look too big for it, again, imho of course. But like I said, folks here have installed them. At the end of the day, it is your car, and you should make it look the way you want it.katsi wrote:I've done a search on "Seats" but I can't quite come up with the answer I'm looking for (maybe it does not exist or is not what I want to hear). Here is a photo of Rob's car with a set in leather. Let me see if I can find his userid in the forum and the link to the photos. These were photos I downloaded as I looked for ideas...

I looked at seats similar to those when I was trying to figure out wah to do with my interior. I think the holes that hols those rails on to the seats are very close to the original seat. If the the holes are same you could just bold your old seat rails to them. Ask the seller if they could messure the distance of the holes.
Also double check the width of the seat bottom. The first set of seats I put in my car out of an Iszuz tropper where close in size but after I put the passenger side one in I could not slide it back all the way. Everything was to tight the passenger seat rubbed and eventually broke the center console and the drive side rubbed against right below the door. The trooper seats where also about as tall as the ones in the photo. They did not look wrong it just looked a little strange to me.
