Thanks for the nice comments on the Gravely. It's older than the Spider! None of them fancy safety do-dads, either. To stop the engine, reach down under the tank, between the whirring fan and fan belt, and turn off the fuel petcock. Don't let go of the handlebars, 'cause there's no interlock. Debbie doesn't even like to go near it when it's not running!
And Mark, I would put the blade on the front of the Spider, but then there would be
two front bumper treatments better looking than the late-model's
