Hardware kits

Ive started the rebuild of my '69. However most of the parts were removed before I got the car, and all the nuts and bolts etc are all missing. Is there somewhere I can buy a kit of all the required hardware? Or is it a case of going to home depot?

I doubt you'll find much at Home Depot. Better to shop at a dedicated hardware vendor or McMaster-Carr. I use allensfasteners.com since his prices are so good

What kind of hardware are you looking for? Many of us part cars out and keep everything that comes off of them, whether they're good or not. I have coffee cans full of nuts, bolts and misc crap I'd be willing to part with.

well imagine a 69 spider in the form of a kitcar, but without any nuts and bolts to put it together! Thats the situation Im in. I have a bare shell, and I have all the parts in my garage waiting to go in, but I need the hardware to fit everything!! Thats why I was hoping there was a kit, so i didnt need to do the whole trial and error thing when it came to finding the right bolts.

What hardware do you have in your coffee jars.....and how much are you selling for?

i'd suggest buying stuff in bulk at Fastenal. you're gonna run into much much much more stuff needed than any can-0-bolts will provide. but, i'd not pass up the offer from Denise either.

stick with metric however, that makes repairs/maintenance so much more easier. one set of tools, not two or three.
