Some people claim that 40IDFs flow more with 36 chokes and aux venturi reshaped like the 44IDF aux one. Other people claim that 40IDF flow their best with 34 chokes.
Anybody experimented with that?
Thanks,
Has anybody tried 40IDF with 36 chokes?

Vassilis,
try contacting John or Gary Baucom at Baucom Motorsports

John has won three SCCA titles with his 124 Spider, two of which were in E-Production where the rules limit him to 40mm IDFs.
When he won in 1986 I believe he was able to use the bigger chokes and it was subsequent to that that the rules changed to limit the chokes sizes to 34mm. Anyway, he has a tremendous amount of experience making those carbs work with the 34s and he would be able to give you some useful info. No Bullshit...
