Strobe Light Timing
Strobe Light Timing
For a 76 Spider is the Strobe Light pickup used on the #4 plug wire? If so WHY? Nearly every other engine in the world is timed off of #1.

Well...the Fiat engine is not like every other engine in the world. Fiat just decided to do it that way, I'm sure there is probably a good reason. but I don't know.
Re: Strobe Light Timing
You can use either #1 or #4 for strobe light timing. It doesn't matter (this is because the engine makes 2 rotations for every 1 rotation of the dizzy). When setting the timing belt and dizzy, however, it does matter that the dizzy is pointing toward #4 with the engine at TDC and the cam timing marks at their pointers.
