defroster vents

If one removed the defroster vents, how would you suggest one puts them back on?

Someone once suggested to remove the dash, but, that ain't happenin'. Any other ideas?

Beuller? Beuller?

Anyone? So, no brilliant ideas on getting those little wire clips back where they belong?

Well... now I know not to take the vents off...

Sorry.

Guess I wasn't the first to take mine off. I didn't know better. Also, have no issues with mine not being secured down.

Lemme know if you find out the answer to your question.

Yeah, don't take them out/off whatever.
My husband, in his infinite wisdom, removed them to cover the dash. I don't have problems with them just sitting there, I just have to remember to take them off when I'm cruzin down the highway. One I hit 70, they do this neat hover trick. :D

I actually saw that myself the other day on my cruise home from Fiat Freak Out! It was an awesome trick....couldn't make it happen if I wanted to, but it was sure cool to watch.

Defroster vents

Post by spider2081 »

I took mine off a couple years ago painted them and reinstalled. I wish I was more sure but as my ailling memory serves me, I worked the plastic/metal ring the vents clip into out of the dash. I think it has 3 spring clips on it. Once it was off I put the wires from the vents in place and with some difficulty forced the rings into the dash. Maybe some one else has tried this.
