The 1st of March was the combined Ferrari & Fiat Clubs Race day at Oran Park Raceway in Sydney ( Aust ), I managed 40 Timed laps in the afternoon, it started to wear out my Pirelli tyres !

Mark, Plus 20 laps in the morning during the practice sessions, some with passengers ( Son, Wife ).

My wife also compete that day - first time ever on a race track - in a Subura Liberty 2.5l ( non-turbo) she did 1:06 to my 1:02.
Now I do have to put those diff bearings in ! !

The BC Coupe is owned by the Fiatorque - who do the servicing on my Spider.
It's a 2.0l block with a Integrale 16V head and aftermarket fuel injection, headers, standard 5 speed transmission and standard 124 diff. It 's space-framed in the front. - Possibly 240HP.
He blows away the Ferrari's at every meeting, in January a 2.0l 131 Turbo full space-frame only beat him by 0.01.

New Springs felt really good ! !
Fiatorque replaced the front springs with shorter and stiffer springs and dropped the front 12-14mm without altering the height of the lower control arm.
With the rear springs they cut / reset the springs and dropped the rear 40mm.
The front sits prefectly and the rear should drop another 5mm after a bit of usage ( more supersprints or motorkhanna's )
Ross reckons I could shave another 5 or 7 seconds off my times with proper race tyres ! !
I'll post some before and after photos in another thread.

Yep, some new sticky tyres will make a big difference. Your standard road going Pirellis aren't showing much sign of wear especially after completing so many laps, so I doubt that they are a very soft or grippy compound. Most of that rubber stuck on them has been picked up off the track while your tyres were hot.
I'm sure you'd be able to shave another few seconds off your times by getting rid of those tube bumpers - it's ridiculous how much they weigh . They also adversely effect the handling because they hang all that weight way out outside the car's wheelbase where it upsets the balance. I'd be looking for a set of early chrome bumpers or some Abarth bumper blocks if I were you.

Or, to keep your car quite original, since it is more of a driver than an autocrosser... just pull the bumpers off prior to racing, and put them back on later. hmm that might be a neat and cheap solution , maybe someone can make a fiberglas hollow bucket that looks like the abarth blocks on the outside but just slide over the shocks. They would be just as effective when in a coalision , cheaper to make and easy to installLeave the bumper shocks, they will do as much or more than the abarth blocks anyway
