This is hilarious. I've been reading through a lot of posts catching myself up on the latest Fiat quirks and I've been trying to remember who my father sold his 124 coupe to back in the mid/late 70s'. I came across this thread and BAMM! He traded it to a guy he hired to put new siding on our house. I remember now like it was yesterday. And now I remember my dad telling the guy that he had to get the title cleared to buy enough time for the siding guy to finish the job. In good faith, he gave him a check for the deposit amount that he would have givin him anyway to hold onto until he signed over the title. Wow!
I guess there really is nothing new under the sun after all...

You reminded me of back when I first was building my house I Painted a Tractor and a old 2 ton truck for a farmer who had some used but nice windows that I needed for my house.. the proper barter arrangement would be equal and fair for both parties. I used to barter but quit many years ago because everyone tried to get the better of the deal instead of a fair deal.
