Pintopower is organizing a reprise of the So Cal Turkey Trot on Feb 1st, Super Bowl Sunday. The route will be up Mt Baldy, over Glendora Ridge Road to Hwy 39. The run should be over in time to watch the Super Bowl. Time and meeting place will be posted in the near future

Sounds fun, but probably not this time. I'm still trying to get a steaks, timing belt, valve adjustment day set up for February though. If we finish early enough, we can make a run up Glendora Mountain Road.

You guys want to do lunch? If so, BBQ or Hot Dogs? I know two places on 39 so its up to you. The hot dog place is the same as last time and pretty cheap. The BBQ place is really good but parking is a bit limited. Any thoughts?

I thought that the place we stopped at last time was perfect. Plenty of parking to have our cars side by side, and decent food to boot. I vote the hot dog place.

Is the BBQ place you're talking about Canyon City? That's some good grub, but yeah, parking's tough to come by.

Jakes does have some gREEEat hawt dogs... and a kick butt parking lot for the pictures.... but but but... There is a football game on!

I would vote for Jakes on any day except Superbowl Sunday! I need a 50" LCD, beer, and some snacks to properly obzerve ze SuperTrot!


Granted, I'll go anyway , but I may bugger out quick after... so I can watch them game!

ooooh! just had a thought! Any chance of contacting Jakes ahead of time? and getting a TV set up on the patio?

Jakes it is! Yea I was talking about canyon city, but parking there is a disaster. Jakes was easy! I will give them a call but I don't know about setting up a TV, LOL!

Details of the Super Bowl Strut;
First car out is 930am, meet 830am-9am. Fuel up before arriving! There are gas stations on Foothill Bl just east and west of the Starbucks. The Starbucks is just east of the Foothill Bl exit from the 210 fwy. Here is the link to Starbucks;
