Mark, do you know if there's an exit for Foothill Blvd. from both directions? When I mapquest it from Lancaster it comes up with a different exit and some turns onto the blvd. There are 5 Starbucks on the blvd. in La Verne, you wouldn't have a street address would you?

Update on the Long Beach Turkey Trotting Fiat.
Got the suspension/steering in, including; new tie rod ends, new upper and lower A-arms, lowering springs in the front. Tomorrow sees me reclined and sitting on some of the worlds most comfortable cardbord, as I tackle the back end, after getting the front alignment done at a real shop first thing. Those wheels LOOK like they are pointed in the right direction... but who can tell right? It's as close as it was before... but, before was a horrific fatal crash waiting to happen.
$59.00 well spent in my opinion. Let a pro play lazer tag with my car, and hope that this particular lazer slinger isn't too bloated and blurry from overconsumption of turkey, and wild turkey
The weather promises to be fantastic, so I hope to meet a bunch of you on Sunday!
I'm dragging my dad along with me, as we share the car hobby/passion. He has had a '67 Austin Healey 3000 mkIII BJ-8 since it was about 6 months old, and I kinda pushed him into getting it going again . He joined a local Austin Healey club on his own, and has been attending runs, rally's and shows with them for the last few years. I've come along for a fair bit of it, and kept promising that I would have a Fiat in "fun" condition again soon. Well folks, Sunday at the second annual Turkey Trot, out will trot a Spider well on its way to restoration!!!
Happy day!
Its still a long way from "finished" of course... lol, but hey... If I had Firrari money.. I would have finished building my Fiat a long time ago!
See you all Sunday!

What a glorious day! The weather was picture perfect (check out the sky in this pic as we head up into the mountains)
Here is a rest stop about 1/2 way through the run
I count 11 cars in this picture, I didn't count to see how many there were all together:
Which way are we going?
A shot of a section of the type of roads we were on:
The day just couldn't have been any better, great cars, great people, great weather. It felt like somewhere in the low 80's.
I made a call to Mike Bouse for a chat, he was getting his snow blower ready.

Re: 2nd ANNUAL SO CAL TURKEY TROT
there were 11 cars. expected more, but oh well. i think i almost drove the tires off my car, i know the steering wheel fell off at the starbucks before the run. thankfully, mark showed up to save the the day again with another wheel and hub, or i would have had to go home once again. i debuted my frankenhood and got good response from all. on the run i thought albert was going to run me over with his disco spider. i need to lower my car so it handles better, power wasnt a problem.we all had a blast all day. brakes were all but done again by the end of the day though.

Re: 2nd ANNUAL SO CAL TURKEY TROT
Maureen & I had a fabulous time. It was good to see the usual clan, and great to meet a few new faces. There were 3 of us that drove along like grannies (to keep our wives or dads happy), but we only got slightly behind the guys beating the hell out their cars! The long, top-of-the-ridge pic from Ron Luxmore (snow capped Mt Baldie in the background) is a place where we parked while many of us drove back and forth along that stretch as hard as the road would let us. I drove it once without my granny passenger and had to wipe the smile off my face when I got back to the bunch. I will admit I was a little white knuckled when a PU truck came around a blind turn toward me hogging most of my lane. I had to take to the dirt to clear him, then got a little sideways getting back on the road again then briefly sideways in the other direction after I over corrected. I lived.

Looks fun guys. I can't wait until spring so I can experience the joy of the Spider.

Sounds like you fellas had a great time and the weather looked absolutely beautiful! It's been cold, windy and rainy here but I guess that's keeping me out of trouble to work on my Fiat project.
Alvon, Maureen is not a granny yet. I'm telling on you!
