2nd ANNUAL SO CAL TURKEY TROT

Post by So Cal Mark »

Sunday, November 30th. Details to follow. Last year we did the Glendora Ridge Route to Hwy 39 and had a great time. This year the plan is to drive the Ridge Route from Mt Baldy to Mulholland Dr. So save the date. Time and meeting point will be posted soon

Sounds like a great drive! I'll put it on the calendar.

This should be fun. Turkeys look so funny when they trot.

Fun!

Talk about a time deadline though! I'd have to get it all done this weekend!

I got the body work and paint done ( super cool Dark Pewter, used to be red) on the 1974 I bought off this site a couple of months back, and now have the entire suspension off of the car ready for a transplant. Then I need to actually tackle the cooling system, some electric work... um, some brakes work.. gawd thats an intimidating list...

I won't worry about the rest of the cosmetics for now, just get it road ready!

If I can't get my little spider done in time, I'll come for coffee and see you all off. 8)

-Ryan

I guess I need to go buy some beer for this... Its going to be a long long Saturday and Sunday....

This is looking better by the day. I posted a message to the yahoo scorpion group and yahoo san diego fiat group last night and already got Bob and Peter onboard with their scorpions. We've also got Wil, Jeff, and Tony signed up form Xweb with their X1/9s and jeff with his scorpion. There are also a number of people that are not on the forums that will also be attending. I'm going to have a hard time deciding which car to take, the spider or the scorpion.

I also just posted about it on Lancisti.net. It was also suggested to me that we post this on Mira, but I'll let someone who's more of a regular there post it up as it will probably get a better response, Ron or Alvon, would you guys mind passing on the word?

Sunday, November 30th. Meeting place is the Starbucks in La Verne on Foothill Bl. Exit the 210 fwy in La Verne at Foothill Bl. Go east one block. Starbucks is on the left side. Meet 9-930am. First car out at 10am promptly. The drive will be up Mt Baldy road to the village, then onto Glendora Ridge Rd and head west along the top of the mountains. This is a great, scenic drive with lots of twisty bits.

My cell number is 909-731-3423. Hope to see everyone there!
