Warinig and direction lights issue

Hello,

My name is Alain,

I am a new member living in Normandy region not o fare from Paris, 80 Kms more or less.. and I am very glad to join !

I own a 1981 Fiat 124 Spider US version barn find and on my way to put it back on the road again after several years of lack of tenderness....
A lot of mechanical things have been done on this car

Mechanically sounds pretty well now and I will enjoy to drve it soon !

Still one esxisting issue/pb no warning lights neither indicator lights,. I have changed the flasher by a brend new one but nothing better
I do suspect the Hazard warning switch but still have a doubt.. (fuses and bulbs are Ok )

Did you encounter such kind of failure and do you how to solve it ?

your welcome! Sorry, that I can't support in your technical question, but have you checked the Electrical groundings (typical problem)?

Interesting story, that you discovered a french barnfind?! But France actually counts 746 Spider in the worldwide Spider Register, see here:

From one of my posts:
I mentioned earlier my turn signals and hazards don't work. I removed that center dash panel and found the connector loose from the hazard switch. (another PO poor repair effort...)Once I plugged it back in, the hazards started to flash. Nice,, when something broken turns out to be a simple fix! I separated that switch using a linoleum knife. I used some needle nose pliers to bend down the locking lever, cleaned the contacts , and re-assembled it. Fixed
