Where are the sensors for the sat belt alarm (1985 Pininfarina)

Post by schatzp65 »

Hi FiatSpider community

I have a 1985,5 Pininfarina spider. It turns out that the seat belt alarm does not work and my mechanic can not figure out where the sensors are for the seat belt alarm. Does anybody have a 1985.5 wiring diagram and/or information where the sensor is which triggers the alarm?

Best

I'm not very familiar with later spiders like the 1985.5, but on earlier ones, the seat belt sensors were in the female part of the latch, the one on the transmission tunnel side. A wire for those went under the carpet to the front. There is also a relay for the seat belt alarm, and that is (on the earlier cars) in a panel of relays under the glovebox. Oftentimes this relay is disconnected to do away with the seat belt alarm.
