1977 Fiat 124
Center dash brake light (red) normally turns on when the parking brake is activated and the off when the parking brake is let down (off). But now for some reason the light is coming on even when the parking brake is off. It flickers at times or simply stays on for 30 seconds or more at other times. I've checked the activator switch beneath the parking brake lever and the issue is not there. Even when it is pressed down with my finger, the dash brake light indicator still flickers on and off.
Any thoughts?

Re: Dash Brake Light
I think the 1977 spiders had a fluid level sensor in the cap of the brake fluid reservoir, and this triggered the brake light on the dash. If you have one of those, check the wiring on that, and it's possible that your switch has gone bad. Or you are simply very low on brake fluid...
