These were sent to me in an email from a friend.They were taken at the Michelin test track in South Carolina.They are AIRLESS TIRES! Sure looks like the real thing.I read an article on these a couple years ago ,but figured it fell by the wayside.Maybe not!

I saw these in a magazine article a while back as well. Pretty cool approach, but not exactly aesthetically pleasing are they?

The sides could probably be covered by something similar to what our current sidewalls are made of?
I imagine they would have to be... snow and ice

I would guess they would, but they would still be pretty "tall" tires on a relatively small wheel.

They would make the police's spike strips obsolete! And how would you know who mfg. the tire or what size it is?
