The brightness of dash lights is personal preference. Sort of like coffee the more choices one has the more preferences developCurrently mine are dim or more dim. Just too lazy to go in and bypass.
If your entire dash is dim you might want to check the fuse 7 & 8 connections for voltage drop and the ground pod above the ignition switch for tight clean connections
I do not keep my dash light dimmer in the full bright position. For me that is too bright. I do have all newer clean bulbs installed.
