Headlights

Hi everybody, a recent electrical problem has caused my Headlights to quit working. I have no power going to the headlight fuses. When I put he headlight switch in the 3rd position (all the way down) my dash lights go out as well. The dash lights work in the 2nd position. My high beams work when I pull on the selector stock. Rear lights work, side marker lights work, and turn signal lights work. I know there is not headlight relay, I already checked and cleaned all wires on the ignition switch. What am I missing?

Check, clean and tighten the 3 ground pods, round ground clusters, one on the inside of each front fender, one under the dash near the steering column.

You should also install relays for the headlights to take the electrical load (high amps) off of the headlight switch and the high/low beam switch.

Thanks everybody, I got them working. When the lights first stopped working I bought a new switch. Everything matched up, turned out the switch itself is somehow defective. Beware of aftermarket parts, I will be returning...

Now to prevent the new switch from burning out again consider using a relay kit on the headlights to eliminate the full amount of power being drawn by the bulbs that is currently going right through the new switch and replace it with just the few milli-amps needed to switch the relays.
